Show 345: Mary Ford ~ Editor
Tuesday Feb 11, 2020
Tuesday Feb 11, 2020
Interviewing my book editor Mary Ford was a pleasure!
By sharing her background, including her early years of marriage and how—when she walked into a newsroom for the first time at 35, felt like she belonged—showed me how relatable she is.
Mary is an accomplished editor, and she had us both laughing about some embarrassing typos in headlines and news copy in her journalism career. Those experiences she revealed showed that Mary understands vulnerability and that we all make mistakes. She knows the value of having a second set of eyes look at what we write and she couldn’t stress the importance enough for every writer to welcome feedback—even though it may not be what we want to hear.
She openly welcomed clients of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities throughout our interview including students, business people, authors, and more. And with her professional background as a teacher, those skills she carries with her—help her clients achieve the great writing and messaging they are all looking for. Especially when most of us need an expert like Mary is at meeting deadlines.
We live in the era of texting, instant messaging, and dashing off emails so I fell in love with Mary’s fondness for the English language. While Mary says we accept that form of communication—complete with its grammatical and spelling errors—that should not take the place of writing well.
As an author myself, I share a special connection with Mary, who is writing a coming of age novel about her husband’s youth.

Show 343: Jamie Swartz ~ Healthy Inspirations
Tuesday Feb 04, 2020
Tuesday Feb 04, 2020
With over 27 years of experience in the dental hygienist industry, Jamie brought so much to the table as my guest in our discussion about our overall health—beyond oral hygiene.
Jamie Swartz founded her Healthy Inspirations health coaching company because she wanted to help her patients take their health into their own hands by incorporating practices that can support them in their desire to get off of their medications and achieve a happier healthy body weight—with her expertise as a coach.
She talked about the many tools in her toolbox that she provides with most of the research already done for her clients, and that support keeps them accountable to themselves.
I absolutely loved her honesty about her family’s experience with health struggles and many other conversations that led her to live a very healthy life. And that if one of the four legs of our health is not strong then we will continue to be out of balance.
Jamie couldn’t stress it enough that paying attention to our diet is key, and that being open can change the whole trajectory of our lives.
The song Fallin by Alicia Keys spoke so highly to both Jamie and me about the relationship we have with our own bodies and how it is her mission to help others fall back in love with their body in a new light.

Show 341: Francine Fontana Coaching
Tuesday Feb 04, 2020
Tuesday Feb 04, 2020
Francine Fontana kicked off our amazing conversation about her journey and how lived unconsciously by going through the motions—which led her to become a life coach.
I love how Francine described that opportunities don’t show up when it’s convenient or when all conditions, situations and circumstances are perfect. And that we are far more powerful than anything we are facing.
When Francine gave the example of how her coach was able to accomplish a ten-year plan in only ten months—it was crystal clear to her that we can collapse time—and reach any goal much faster than we think is humanly possible.
Francine shared how she had an uncontrollable desire to lead by example and demonstrate to her daughter that it is possible to live a meaningful, happy and purposeful life.
We also talked about the fact that life is always seeking to express itself in a freer, fuller, more expanded version of itself—through us. And I absolutely LOVED her example of the universe whispering, “grow, grow, grow.”
Creative imagination is what our conversation expanded into and Francine opened my eyes to the idea that we actually think in pictures. She emphasized how it is possible to use our imagination to create a vision-driven life. And that we all need to make a committed decision and take the steps toward our dreams.
Francine’s life coaching provides that structure and support to help anyone create the life they love!
Our discussion was brilliant and if you are ready to take the steps towards creating a vision-driven life, contact Francine at: www.FontanaCoaching.com today!

Show 328: Regina Podesta ~ You And Me Toxic Free
Wednesday Oct 23, 2019
Wednesday Oct 23, 2019
I was pretty feisty in my interview with Regina Podesta, Independent Consultant with Purehaven because I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into our discussion!
Regina talked about being a wife, mother of three and how her journey to finding Purehaven began with looking for a product to help repel fleas and ticks for her adopted dog. And discovering the Purehaven company was in complete alignment with her many years in the health and wellness field, educating and inspiring people to live their healthiest lifestyle possible.
Regina shared that even though her mother died at a young age from cancer, and that she has an autistic nephew, it wasn’t until she learned that the ingredients in a typical over-the-counter sunscreen that have been found to accelerate the growth of cancer cells is when she decided to take action and get even more involved on her path to caring for the environment by educating others about the impact of household products have on our health.
Talking with Regina about how we can all take small steps and transition to using products that are toxic-free, cruelty-free, safe and trusted is the easiest way to create a home environment that is safe for ourselves and our families. For more information go to www.YouAndMeToxicFree.com
