Show 302: Nicole and Cathie Love Diet Talk
Friday Apr 19, 2019
Friday Apr 19, 2019
When the idea came to me to start this journey, I had no idea where it would take me. All I knew was that I needed to change what I was doing. Period. I was not healthy. And I wasn’t loving myself nearly as much as I could have.
So, why did I continue to write and stay on this journaling path, even when many times I wasn’t placing myself in a good light? Because I was sick. And in order to save my own soul I knew I had to strip away what I had consciously learned over the years as well as what I had subconsciously absorbed through my environment. I knew there was no other choice but to start over.
Albeit there were a few health concerns within my body when my journey began, I was still not feeding myself nearly enough love. Somehow deep in my core I knew by sharing my story, and putting my thoughts into the written word, would indeed be one of the greatest lessons in my life. But more importantly, it would be the greatest gift I would ever give to myself.

Show 301: Erin McAlonan ~ Child and Family Services
Friday Apr 19, 2019
Friday Apr 19, 2019
In my interview with Erin McAlonan, the Program Director for the Community Service Agency at Child and Family Services, we discussed the importance of how families themselves need to be ready for their own change—and how that alone is an integral first step—in the process of coordinating and planning the best possible care for a child that has significant mental and emotional needs. Erin talks in depth about following the CSA's "Wraparound" model and how that model helps to empower both the parents and youth alike to gain the skills and confidence necessary to meet their own very specific family goals. In turn, each family becomes more self-sufficient in advocating for their child's needs. For more information on the Wraparound model, you can visit www.Child-FamilyServices.org.

Show 300: Mary OMalley ~ Permanent Makeup
Friday Apr 19, 2019
Friday Apr 19, 2019
Mary O'Malley is one of the sweetest women I have ever had the pleasure of interviewing. When she first mentioned her talent for tattooing concrete—I was totally impressed. When Mary talked about growing up with a Mom in the beauty industry she expressed her instinct to seek the beauty in everybody. I learned that her mission is to help other women feel more confident on the inside by helping them look prettier on the outside.
Mary shared her own struggle with confidence and how many days of living with medical issues she herself was not able to put on makeup or even pull herself out of bed—which led her to her current mission—to help other women feel better about themselves.
Mary shares how she uses many different modalities to create the look that her clients want to achieve and she talks about the importance of continuing her own education, training and attaining certifications—because a constant state of learning is extremely important in her line of work—which takes practice and patience. Mary was very extremely proud to share her love of how she serves. Her unique craft and talent to help women of all ages, look and feel more confident and beautiful is very noble—so that their beauty is in alignment—from the inside out.

Show 299: Jenessa Gerard-Pateakos ~ Pateakos & Poulin, P.C.

Thursday Mar 28, 2019
In my interview with Jenessa Gerard-Pateakos, Real Estate Attorney with Pateakos & Poulin, P.C., it was so refreshing to hear Jenessa describe her role as she guides people through the legal process.
Jenessa shared how she doesn’t just counsel them in making the best quality decisions that they can possibly make—she goes the extra mile—because these are the decisions that can last a lifetime. She is so relatable!!!
I could feel her energy so calm, cool and collected when she said: “Communication is essential.” And that the “Facts can be debated.” It was very eye-opening! It never occurred to me when she gave the example of the seller saying he enlisted a professional to come and repair the roof and that it was fixed, that the buyer could actually debate that the roof was in fact fixed properly and not fixed to their standards or expectations.
So in fact, having clarity within our communication through Jenessa’s help as a real estate attorney is essential!
I also had no idea how much of a team the Realtor, Attorney, and the Lender work together to guide the buyers and sellers through the process. I said it in the interview, I would hire Jenessa in a heartbeat! www.PandPLawPC.com

Show 293: Cara Giuca ~ Rodan + Fields & The Dream Journal
Friday Feb 15, 2019
Friday Feb 15, 2019
Interviewing Cara was such a delightful experience. Cara clearly knows how to help others master the MLM industry, and in doing so, discovered her own desire to become a writer. Cara shares how her previous job as a Spa Director was perfect on paper, but in reality was a grind, and there was something missing. She discovered that her desire for more, led her to being driven by balance, and creating a financial future for her and her children. Cara talks about her many trips to California that she was blessed to be a part of, some of them all expenses paid. Cara talks about how grateful she is to have build amazing relationships with other women that she would have never have known, had she not taken the leap, and had faith. Cara and I both agreed that the negative energy about MLM is truly 'out there' and definitely not within the organization. Cara became an entrepreneur through the reputable company and brand of Rodan + Fields, and has gained such personal growth that put her on the fast track to the real her, that she is deeply driven to help others do the same through her own experience and her gentle authority.

Show 292: Julie Hatch ~ Mums On A Mission
Wednesday Feb 06, 2019
Wednesday Feb 06, 2019
Julie is on a mission to help mothers consciously connect with their kids and my interview with her was interesting at every level. Julie couldn't express it enough that the inner essence and spirit of our children are what drives who they are, and as parent’s, it is vital that we 'parent' to their strengths. We talked about how placing bandaids on any continued challenging behavior will only push those issues out to the future, creating bigger challenges for the child as they get older.
Consistency was something Julie couldn't stress enough, and that picking our battles are key components to educating and teaching our children so that they can thrive in our communities in the best way possible. We also talked about the importance of creating a safe and supportive relationship with our children in the home-- when they are young and how vital that is. Julie and I talked more about why parents need to understand that a child's life inside the home is their only reference of how to be because parents are essentially their mirror. They absorb our energy, our language, and our actions. When I brought up the subject of nutrition, Julie seemed extremely grateful because she shared that most people don't realize how important nutrition plays a role in a child's behavior, and how it goes far beyond just sugar and caffeine.
As a pediatric nurse practitioner for many years, as well as the mother of three grown boys, Julie was so passionate about how the present moment is what matters the most, and seeing our children in the present moment for who they are and what they are bringing to the moment, provides opportunity for deeper connection with the child. And that having a deeper connection can help them better navigate their way through the ups and downs of life. And when parents allow themselves to do this, that’s when they find that parenting can be less of a struggle. My interview with Julie was so informative and inspirational!

Show 288: Sarah Prario ~ Isagenix
Monday Jan 14, 2019
Monday Jan 14, 2019
Sarah was one of my original guests on the Powerful Women Revealed show back in 2013, and to have the opportunity to have her back several years later was nothing short of fantastic! Sarah and I talk about how we both love her business model because of the benefits of how it helps you in the present but also sets you up for your future. Sarah shared how she jumped in with her whole heart knowing how she didn't want to go back to work after having her first baby. Sarah reveals that she is not a 9-5'er and getting financially ahead in a different way intrigued her because she could simultaneously achieve better health while doing so. Sarah openly talks about how her company, Isagenix, has helped her to be a better mom, physically, emotionally and spiritually, while also being there for her children as they grow. Sarah got a little emotional about how her husband works so hard that part of her mission is also to support their family more in the financial sphere, to ease the pressure. Being a part of the household income by loading their bank account with the revenue from her business gives her a great feeling of empowerment and gratitude since there is no glass ceiling and she can take her business as far as she wants to take it. Sarah shared that the people on her teams are diverse, from the younger millennial generation that works effortlessly from their phones to the mothers like herself that want to contribute to their household income while raising their kids, to the older generation that wants to create an extra stream of income. Interviewing Sarah was a great pleasure.

Show 286: Jeanne Fuller-Jones ~ Keller Williams Realty
Thursday Jan 03, 2019
Thursday Jan 03, 2019
When I met Jeanne for the very first time, I was so impressed with her character that I wanted to be sure I mentioned that in our discussion at the top of the show. Jeanne talks about how doing small and simple things for potential clients who are not even thinking about putting their home on the market is where the relationship begins.
I discovered how educated Jeanne is during our interview and how much effort she pours into helping her clients transition into “right” sized homes, especially for seniors. Jeanne and I discussed how her 15+ years working in the senior living community, her many certificates she has obtained and her endless experiences with clients as well as her own extended large family is how she is able to consult with realistic solutions that are not only achievable but desirable.
Jeanne was a delightful guest and she gets how her homeowners feel about the transition. With two china cabinets in her own dining room, she talked about how she helps her clients understand that the life you have built, and selling the property in a timely fashion are two different things. But she goes on to say that in building a partnership, her main goal is to help her clients keep their cards close so they can better negotiate, and in keeping your cards close, you are really building protection for yourself and staging your home at the same time.
